Cover Type of Magazines

1.) Early Magazine Cover

---In the 1700's the magazines looked a lot different then we have now. It looked like a cover of a book, with the picture in the middle of the paper in the 1800's and the 1900's. Then in 1896 Chaperone started to decorate the outside of the magazine and also try to pop out the eye of the readers.

2.) The Poster Cover

---In the 1900's they started to use color print for the magazine instead of black and white print. Also they didn't use any words in the magazine either, all they used was picture to describe what was going on. They also started to sell cars by putting the pictures of the cars on the front page of the cover.

3.) Pictures Married to Type

---In the 20th century people started to heavily draw the picture on the cover for the magazine. Then in the 1916's the peoples started to use models for the cover of the magazine instead of drawing into the magazine for the cover. Then they started to use more color for the background of the photo also.

4.) In the Forest of Words

---In 1992 they started to put singers, rockstars, and more people in the cover of the magazine showing the time and date there going to perform in there concerts. They also show bathing suit girls in the front of the magazine to show nakedly exposed models. They are still doing this kind of magazine till this day.
